was better before
Emmanuel Darley
Are we well governed? How history is written?
And if we were playing a joke, cruel and funny, to answer these questions and expose the flaws and weaknesses of the policy?
"The Farce" is precisely the name of this imaginary country where the action is and where all is not well. (Any resemblance to a country close to us would of course be coincidental ...)
Fortunately, providence and watch as Jane Arc long ago, Raoul Ham, "salesman without work and yet no more stupid than other" hears a voice that suggested he seek the votes of his fellow citizens to restore his country to face its past because - as everyone always thinks - "it was better before"
So that will be more than a slogan, a campaign program, could not be more reactionary, ridiculous and preposterous.
In the dialogues of this Ubu contemporary, we recognize here and there, ideas and phrases that remind us of something or someone ... Certainly, either yesterday or today, stupidity has no age. "There is little chance that / dethroned the king of idiots" as sings Georges Brassens.
